This picture could be used as the main feature picture, but it would be hard to insert a main head title because of the Wyke sign in the background.

This picture can't be used as a main feature picture because the models aren't looking at the camera.

Although the models are looking at the camera it can not be used as a main feature picture because there isn't enough room at the top of the picture to insert a master head title and also the picture is taken in landscape not portrait.  

These pictures are pictures that are going to be on my contents page or a smaller picture on the front of the magazine.

Photos for College Magazine

I wouldn't use this picture as a main image because of the layout it is in landscape instead of portrait.

This is one of the picture in which i am most likely to use as my main image, this is due to the fact that the model is looking straight at the camera and the layout is appropriate.

This image like the above one is another possible image, the only negative with this image is that it is quite dark and you cant really see the model clearly.

This image is a lighter version of the above image and would be appropriate to use on the front cover of a college magazine.

This image could be used as a main feature because the model is looking directly at the camera and it is a medium close-up, however they are problems such as the model is stood where the left third of the magazine would be and the 'busy' display in the background would make it hard to insert and place writing and chose which colours would be best. 

This image much like the on above would be difficult to work around due to the fact she is stood where the left third would go and is in front of a busy background.

This is a good image to use as a main feature because she is looking directly at the camera and it is a medium close-up in portrait. However, the background may be hard to work around as there is a lot going on with the colours.

This image has the same problem as the above image with the amount of colour in the background. However, this image would be good as a smaller feature on the front or the contents page because the writing on the poster in the background gives a good story.

This image would be used as a smaller feature either on the front or the inside. This is because she isn't looking at the camera but the paper gives a good indication of what the story of feature is about.

This image would be a good image to use as a main feature because the model is looking straight at the camera, the left third is free, there is enough space at the top to insert a master head title and the picture is taken in medium close-up.

This image could be used as a main feature image because there is room at the top for a title and the left third is free and he is looking straight at the camera. However, the trophies in the background may be hard to work around with the writing and the color of the front.

L - The language of this magazine is shown through the picture as portraits them as being happy healthy students.
I - The ideology of the magazine is education and a positive attitude towards it. The fact the two girls on the front are smiling shows that the school has a happy atmosphere and also the main featuure headline says "maths maestros" so the suggests that the college/school are proud of their results and get good ones.
I - The institution of this college magazine are a company called Words & Pictures.
A - Audience of this magazine is the students of Newland School for Girls and those who are academic, this is shown through the age of the girls on the front if a adult was on the front it wouldn't appeal as much to students.
R - This college magazine represents the girls of Newland School for Girls and the building as a whole.

L - The language of this magazine is shown through the picture of Tulisa because she is a celebrity and a judge on X-Factor it suggests that inside the magazine it's going to include both these things.
I - The ideology of this magazine is fashion, gossip and celebrities.
I - IPC Media are the institution of More magazine.
A - The target audience for this magazine is women and late teens. You can tell this by the way they have used pictures of womens clothes and hair ideas in the left hand corner, also they have used title which would draw women in such as the staetment right at the top taken from Olly Murs which says "i'm rough and ready in bed" this would appeal more to women and late teens then men.
R - This magazine represents the celebrity world and how it is seen through the eye of the media.
